Hi my name is Clinton Williams. I am from Pukekohe – Auckland and have been riding, racing and jumping mountain bikes since 1995. I started the sport for fun with a mate by racing cross country, before getting into Downhill racing which I enjoyed more. I raced competitively until 2003, then decided to move away from racing. I started testing my bike handling skills in other ways by building and riding big jumps, and finding other challenging obstacles to try and ride.

This type of riding (Freeride) then gave me the opportunity to do some photo shoots for magazines. I have travelled to Canada several times to ride. Now days I am riding a little bit of everything, cross country, technical trail rides, some dirt jumping and the odd Downhill race. Digging trails and jumps is another favourite thing I like to do.

Passing on my knowledge and experience with a varied range of bike skills gives me great satisfaction, especially when other people learn something new to help improve their riding.

I am excited about helping pass on the MTB skills clinics syllabus and hope to see you out on the trails soon!
